I Am Hooked,My partner bought this for me a year ago. She noticed I was interested because a friend was doing a paint by numbers.
Finally I started it and was hooked. Started around 9pm and looked up and it was 1am. Very addicting, but in a good way. Peaceful, calming and interesting. And yes, the tiny numbers are a challenge even with a magnifying glass.
Even after a year, only 1 of the paints were too thick and after mixing it, it was fine.
I did run out of one of the colors, it’s the color that uses the most paint. Today, I contacted the company by email asking if I
could get another container of that color from them. Anxiously awaiting their reply, because I am done after that.
I am now looking for another painting to do. And curious about the one’s you can send in a photo.

This was my first time stretching and painting on my own canvas, so I was a little hesitant when I took this stretcher out of the box. But, the instructions were easy to follow and easy to do and it worked just like it was supposed to. Make sure you order the size you need for the size of the final painting (aka you should have extra canvas on all 4 sides which will be folded behind the painting – if your painting is going to end up 16 x 20, expect to actually start with a slightly larger total piece of canvas i.e. 18 x 22, that way you’ll have at 2″ to fold over the back of the stretchers.

This was my first ever Paint By Numbers experience, well since the 1960’s that is, and boy what a difference a few decades makes. I was looking for a distraction and something to do while being shut down during this horrible pandemic we’re going through. My kit arrived fairly promptly and in good shape. I ordered the framed version as I thought it’d be better than trying to figure out how to frame it after it was finished. The kit included all the paints and a large scale paper plan of the painting with all the numbers on it which was very useful to refer to if you had any doubts as to which number to paint. I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed doing this. I would wake up excited to continue painting the next day and see how my painting was progressing. I am so proud of the finished artwork, which seems silly really as it’s not as if you designed it yourself, but there was a great satisfaction completing it and it turned out unbelievably lovely. Enough so that I’m going to hang it on my wall! Since then, I’ve ordered a cheaper version just to see if there was a difference, and lo and behold, you get what you pay for. I decided to try an unframed canvas and see what that was like as it was half the cost. It arrived promptly but it was folded and not rolled so there were deep creases in the canvas. After Googling “how to get creases out of canvas” it advised that you could iron all the creases out. I did so and it got all wavy and torqued. I haven’t started painting it yet, but I think from now on I’m going to go with the framed version. Bottom line is, if you’re looking for a distraction and a new hobby, this is a perfect one to try. You don’t have to be perfect, or stay within the lines as it’s very forgiving and you can be somewhat creative. I loved it!

Incredible!,I’m about half way done and it’s looking amazing! I did one of me and my brothers for my mom about 20 years ago and I’m doing a new one from a newer pic of us standing in the same spots. My only complaint is you can’t read some of the numbers on the really tiny spaces. I would recommend you guys send a larger paper copy where the numbers are more visible. Other than that, I’m very pleased!

I really like this product. The only thing i wish the manufacturer would change is the color of the numbers. I wish the numbers were the same color as it calls for. Black numbers can be hard to cover with light colored paint.

Dr Gachet,Excellent and fun kit. The canvas printing was well printed and easy to read, but did require a magnifying glass to see the numbers, every now and then. No big deal.
The paint quality was fine other than some interesting color choices that did not match the included color guide. This just allowed me to do my own interpretation. Also the paint volume was more than enough to complete the image. The only downside was that this item took about 5-6 weeks to arrive, as it came directly from China. Would definitely order again.

We are in quarantine and I wanted a small project. Although I have painted in the past, I did not feel I was talented enough to capture my husband’s favorite photo of our dog. Love this paint by number! I cannot speak for everyone, but the framing system included just didn’t work for me. The little slats where the wood is supposed to meet just aren’t big enough. And the wood itself is pine and is unfinished. However, scrap the wood and you have a gorgeous project! The paint can dry a little, but since it’s ACRYLIC (not oil), add a few drops of water and you’re good to go! Very vibrant piece! I can honestly say I can’t wait to finish it!

Finally finished mine! I had so much fun with it! It turns out SO PRETTY and I can’t wait to hang it on my wall. The paint brushes and the paints are very easy to use. The quality of the canvas is pretty GOOD as well. The kit comes in with a rolled packaging, so there aren’t any folds on the canvas like the other ones, which means I can start drawing directly without having to worry about flattening the canvas 🙂
